What’s it like to work in radio?

Paul Howard is in the Radio Hall of Fame. He was a child of the Depression, a WWII vet at the age of 19, and owner of a radio station in his 20’s. For some he was the only morning show host they ever knew. Paul has seen a few changes in radio over the years but is still out selling radio ads though well into his 80’s.

What’s it like being a wood whisperer?

What happens when you whisper at wood? When Marc Spagnuolo does it, it talks back…but in a nice way. He gave up working in a lab or cubicle for the adventure of starting a podcast on woodworking. Even more surprising is that his wife supported his efforts. And the show has been a hit. Marc’s advice: buy your equipment before you leave your day job. To check out Marc’s site click here.

What’s like to travel with Ray Charles?

If you want to listen to Ray Charles, you buy an album. If you want to put the likeness of Ray Charles on a t-shirt or sing his song in a movie, you call Tony Gumina. He knew Ray, traveled with him, and now represents his legacy. You’ll love his story of how he went from golf caddy to casino owner at the age of 12.

What’s it like to be a photographer?

The compliments he received for taking pictures as a child propelled him to take photography in high school and to study at Brooks Institute. He started out with “wet” photography but has been all digital for the last decade. Check out the smooth transitions I make been segments; clearly I edit audio like audio engineers do cognitive therapy. For Jay’s site click here.
